Rex Wotton Barbados Adventures
Rex Wotton ran the West Coast Watersports shop at Coral Reef hotel, just up the beach from Settlers Beach. The center took hotel guest diving and on daytime and sunset cruises around the coast. He was an expert seafarer trained by the Royal Merchant Navy in all matters of navigation, and marine work. Rex was just one of the most loveable Rogues in Paradise. His sense of joy and sharp wit enveloped every situation. Rex was independent at an early age and often disappeared for days at a time, camping along the banks of Joes' river . He built campfires from coconut husk and twigs and cooked his catch with breadfruit, wild okras, plantain, and edible vines. He ate mangoes, and local berries like fat pork, and sea grapes, that grow along the beach. He was a powerful high-energy figure at 5 feet 8 inches, well built, with untidy, light-brown hair and piercing blue eyes.
